Is there is any vaccine available for this deadly virus?
Vaccine maker Serum Institute of India’s CEO Adar Poonawalla stated that the Oxford COVID-19 19 vaccine would be available for healthcare workers and older adults by around February 2021.
Though it will be available for the general public till April, however, the price at a maximum of Rs 1000 for two necessary doses for the people. But it will be purely dependable on final trial results and regulatory approvals.
The government had plans that probably by the year 2024, every Indian will get vaccinated as the PM had said that scientists are working hard for the vaccine. The government is working hard so that every Indian can receive a vaccine with much ease.
Though the lockdown is over, it’s done for economic reasons only. The presence of the virus is still there in the environment. Thus, maintain social distancing, regularly wash your hands, and wear masks when in public.
We don’t have to relax in the fight against the deadly virus but follow all the medical professionals’ proper instructions.
The U.S. based Pharma giant Pfizer and German Biotech company; “Biotech” has announced the vaccine for this deadly disease. It has achieved 90% efficacy in its first interim analysis from the Phase 3 study.
The Union Health Ministry is in open dialogue with vaccine manufacturer Pfizer to source the vaccine for Indian citizens. As per estimation, Pfizer shall produce up to 50 million vaccine doses in 2020 and up to 1.3 billion quantities in 2021.
So how shall you tell a person that you have a covid-19?
